THE Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) yesterday held a Taustiah Ramadhan and the opening of Tedarus Al-Quran 1437H ceremony at its Surau.
The guest of honour at the ceremony was Dr Ustaz Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Acting Ra’es of KUPU SB.
Around 150 participants including senior officers, lecturers, staff and undergraduates of the university participated in the ceremony.
The event started with Tausiah Ramadhan delivered by the guest of honour and continued with Tedarus Al-Quran which began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the recitation of verses of the Al-Quran from Juzuk 1.
The ceremony then concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan by Pengiran Haji Mahmud bin Pengiran Haji Othman, Imam Surau of KUPU SB.
The ceremony aims to embrace the holy month of Ramadhan with full piety, instil a sense of ‘taqwa’ among the community of KUPU SB especially during Ramadhan, gain valuable lessons from the practices of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) during Ramadhan and to enhance relationships between members of the KUPU SB community.
