TWENTY Cub Scout members from Orang Kaya Besar Imas Primary School, Subok learnt how to make handicrafts from plastic bottles as part of efforts to support World Recycle Day 2018.
With help from Cub Scout leaders and assistant leaders, the members learnt to make various types of useful handicrafts, such as key and candle holders, and stationery organisers.
The handicrafts were done to encourage the use of recyclable items.
According to the school’s Cub Scout leader and National Scout Commissioner for Cub Scout Section Hajah Noraini binti Haji Saidi, the training aimed to encourage the habit of reducing, reusing and recycling in daily life, and bring awareness on the importance of protecting the environment.
