THE Coffee Bean Brunei (CB) organised a ‘Caring Cup Sungkai’ for the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA), while also presenting them with a cash donation of $2,000.
The event saw the attendance of Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Mun’im bin Pengiran Anak Haji Tahiruddin, the Managing Director of PAR Group of Companies as the guest of honour, who presented the cash donation to the Managing Director of KACA, Haji Abdul Alim bin Haji Othman.
Held at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Times Square Shopping Centre, the Sungkai event was organised for 15 students from KACA along with their parents and teachers as part of CB’s Caring Cup Brunei Darussalam programme.
In addition to the $2,000 cash donation to KACA, goodie bags from DST, Jerudong Park Playground and Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) were also presented. The attendees were also treated to a buffet of food for the breaking of fast.
In a press statement, the organisers said, “At The Coffee Bean, one of our core principles is our commitment to social responsibility. Both in the US and abroad, we’ve developed a broad range of programmes that aim to give back to the workers and their communities.”
