THE recent Limpanas Endurance Challenge 2018 featured the first ever endurance race organised in Brunei Darussalam, seeing participant loping across a 5.3km route.
Organised by Limpanas Trail Runner, an amateur sport group, the event was also made possible with the help of the Village Consultative Council (MPK) of Kampong Katimahar and Haji Zainal bin Haji Safar as management of Katimahar Agri Park.
Katimahar Agri Park was the chosen venue given its suitability for trail loping – which requires participants to walk or run with a long bounding stride – and in view of it lacking exposure.
The Katimahar Agri Park, which spans across over 100 acres, is an initiative taken by the MPK Kampong Katimahar to preserve and maintain the continuity of local fruits.
Mukim Sengkurong Penghulu cum guest of honour Haji Musa bin Haji Tahir awarded prizes to the winners.
Kampong Katimahar Village Head Salem bin Adi was also present.
