THE Information Department conducted a Personal Contact programme at the residence of Legislative Council member and Acting Penghulu of Mukim Labi and Village Head of Kampong Labi 1 Yang Berhormat Hanapi bin Mohd Siput yesterday.
The Information Department entourage, comprising officers and staff from its Belait branch, was led by Acting Director of Information Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad and welcomed by Yang Berhormat Hanapi.
The programme aimed to foster ties among government agencies and its members with the public at large. It is also sought to promote awareness on the importance of unity and piety towards the nation and religion as well as allegiance to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The activities will help government agencies solve issues faced by the society and promote mukim and village developments on intensifying the Kenali Negara Kitani (KNK) programme to foreign and local tourists.
