THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments held a Tedarus ceremony for the year 1437H/2016 at Kampong Pulaie Mosque in Mukim Berakas yesterday.
The event was jointly organised by the Department of Councils of State; Attorney General’s Chambers; Law and Welfare Division at the PMO and Anti-Corruption Bureau with the cooperation of the Kampong Pulaie Mosque Takmir Committee.
Present at the ceremony were Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Roselan bin Haji Mohamad Daud, Deputy Minister at the PMO; Haji Yahya bin Haji Idris and Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Juanda bin Haji A Rashid, Permanent
Secretaries at the PMO; as well as Dato Seri Setia Haji Zaimi bin Haji Talip, and Pengiran Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Syariah High Court Judges.
Also present were heads of departments as well as senior officers and personnel of the PMO and its departments.
The event began with the presentation of waqaf in the form of one photocopy machine and one high pressure water jet cleaner, which were presented by the State Mufti to the Imam of Kampong Pulaie Mosque.
The ceremony continued with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and followed by the recitation of the Al-Quran from Juzuk 1 to 15.
The congregation then proceeded to hold a Tahlil, Doa Arwah and Doa Selamat. The event was concluded with the breaking of the fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
In a press statement, the PMO shared that a series of Tedarus ceremony will be held throughout the month in several mosques. Such religious ceremonies are organised to gain merits and blessings of Allah the Almighty in this holy month.
