Deputy Minister of Defence First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit yesterday attended the Eurosatory 2016 military exhibition in Paris, which showcased the latest industry development in defence, technology, trends, products and services in various defence and security fields.
Accompanying the deputy minister were Captain (Rtd) Haji Mohammad Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technology) at the Ministry of Defence, and Major Muhd Ashady bin Haji Md Harris, Assistant Head of Defence Information Technology Unit, Ministry of Defence.
During his visit, the deputy minister held a bilateral meeting with Jean-Marc Todeschini, State Secretary of the Minister of Defence for Veterans Affairs and Memory of the French Republic.
According to a press release, both parties expressed satisfaction with the progress of the existing defence and military cooperation between the two countries, underpinned by regular bilateral meetings held under the Joint Defence Working Committee and the appointments of Defence Attaches accredited to respective countries.

They also discussed regional and international security issues of mutual interests.
Tomorrow’s itinerary will include a visit to the Cyber-Security Centre in Paris.
The 2016 Eurosatory Defence Exhibition is a multilateral platform that serves as a gateway in promoting cooperative engagements, interactions and exchange of views among defence and military officials.
