A NEW programme called ‘AKSI’ will be broadcast over Radio Television Brunei (RTB) in October to replace the youth-oriented programmes GRID and Expedisi Siswa.
A joint collaboration between RTB and Mediacorp Singapore, AKSI involves youth aged 17-24 from both countries, in the production of creative short videos in various genres.
The Brunei scenes were filmed on July 19-22 during the selection process of participants to be sorted into the roles of producer, director and scriptwriter.
The Red Team comprises Haji Md Afiq bin Haji Ghani from Brunei as producer, Wan Murni Wan Iskandar from Singapore as director, Md Zulkifli bin Md Salleh as scriptwriter and Remi M Sali as their mentor.
Meanwhile the Green Team is made up of Md Nizam bin Kamarulzaman of Singapore as producer, Hashfi Farizi from Brunei as director and Nurhikmah Rahmat of Singapore as scriptwriter, accompanied by their mentor, Harlif bin Mohamad of Regal Blue Productions.
Singaporean Md Khairulameer Ramlan as producer, with Bruneians Awangku Md Nur Arif Malek Ridhwan bin Pengiran Samsul Rezal Malek Faesal as director and Hajah Amal Nabilah binti Haji Jumat as scriptwriter, represent the Blue Team, which will produce a short comedy video under the mentorship of Singaporean Oleg Raihan.
Singapore’s vibrant Kampong Glam forms the backdrop for the Red Team, while the Green Team focusses on the Punggol Waterways area and the Blue Team at the Gardens by the Bay.
Executive producer Al-Fayyadh Metusin, producer Fadillah Haji Amzah and assistant producer Muhd Shahminan bin Mohd Yunos from RTB, along with four participants, left for Singapore recently for the shooting of AKSI.
The completed video projects will be evaluated by a jury panel during the premiere screening at Golden Village Vivo City.
The panel comprises director Eric Ong, producer Sanif Olek and Adam Groves, the producer-director of the local film, Primajaya.
