A CONVERSION ceremony was held for a personnel from the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Corporal (U) Zulhasnirol bin Zainal (54 Squadron RBAirF) and his cousin at the family residence in Kampong Rambai, Tutong yesterday, according to a press release from the Ministry of Defence.
The guest of honour was Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad.
Also present were Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Commander of RBAirF Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat, a member of the Legislative Council Yang Berhormat Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, Tutong District Officer Haji Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre and family members.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from Al-Quran and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
Subsequently, recitation of Dikir Marhaban and sprinkling of bunga rampai were held.
