FIFTY participants of the Post-Graduate Civic Village Programme 2018, organised by the Information Department, visited the i-Centre to attend a briefing yesterday.
Participants comprised graduates from international higher education institutions.
Manager of DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) Dayangku Hajah Siti Normadinah binti Pengiran Haji Omarali delivered a briefing on the functions of DARe.
Special Duties Officer (Level II) at the Prime Minister’s Office Hajah Yuria Abyana binti Haji Ahmad delivered a briefing titled ‘Ease of Doing Business’.
Meanwhile, Acting Director of Information Hajah Noorashidah binti Haji Aliomar also delivered a talk on the need for youth to be competitive in hunt for job opportunities.
She said graduates must continue to enhance their skills and learn how to be independent in today’s society.
The programme is a project implemented through the department’s ‘Face-To-Face Communication’ work strategy, in line with the vision of the department as one of the leading government agency in delivering and disseminating official government information. The programme also serves to equip participants with competitiveness, ability to face challenges and seize job opportunities.
The participants began the Civic Village Programme for six days and five nights at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex Hall and had the opportunity to take part in various types of sessions including briefing and dialogue sessions, group brainstorming sessions, teamwork activities, sports and leisure, religious activities, charity, and visits.
