THREE less fortunate families comprising the orphans, students and staff members of Mahad Islam Brunei received donations in the form of food necessities from the college under a programme called ‘Sentuhan Kaseh’ (Touch of Love), organised to lessen the hardships of the recipients in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan as well as to inculcate noble values among citizens the community.
Present at the event were the Acting Principal, Pengiran Haji Asmadi bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin, and other academic officers. Assistance was given to three families residing in Tutong, Tutong Camp, Kampong Sengkarai and Kampong Telisai.
The handing over of donations under the programme is also set to continue today at Surau Block B, Mahad Islam Brunei, with a total of 40 recipients scheduled to receive them.
The project hopes to make the college’s population good-hearted, kind individuals who always care for and assist those in need.
