DPMM FC ended their 2018 Singapore Premier League season in third place after winning 3-1 against Garena Young Lions at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas last night.
Garena Young Lions dominated the game with 80 per cent ball possession in the first half but DPMM FC took charge in the second half with goals from Adi Said in the 52nd minute and Volodymyr Priyomov in the 65th. Garena Young Lions decreased the deficit in the 69th minute through Hami Syahin, but DPMM FC put the game to bed with a third goal from Abdul Azizi Rahman just minutes after he came on in the 71st minute.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and the Chairman of DPMM FC received the second runners-up mock cheque from the President of Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Lim Kia Tong, and presented it to DPMM FC Team Manager Ali bin Haji Momin and captain Shah Razen Said. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah also presented medals to the players.
Also present at the match was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik.
