MD KHALID emerged champion of the Brunei National 8-Ball Pool Championship which concluded recently at the Billiards & Snooker Hall II of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
Md Khalid beat Lim Wei Kok 7-3 in the final late last Saturday evening to be named winner.
Md Khalid told the Bulletin that he was happy and glad to have reached the final and didn’t expect to win the title. “It was a tough match against Taufiq in the semi-final, everybody knew he’s a seeded player. I had no preparations before the tournament. I haven’t been playing much lately and I didn’t expect to win this at all.
“I will be joining the Brunei National 9-Ball Championship in two weeks and hope my luck stays the same and my game gets better,” he added.
