The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by officer at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Sahri bin Murat.
Managing Director of AMBD and the Chairman of CIBFM Yusof bin Haji Abdul Rahman said that the main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for speakers, panellists and participants to share knowledge, experience and perspectives on the topic of ‘Islamic Capital Market: Its Role in Catalysing Economic Growth’ and to deliberate further on key issues touching on transformative regulations, cross-border integration and digital disruptors.
“These discussions will provide important insights on how we can take a leap forward together in providing innovative and practical solutions to propel Islamic capital market and Islamic finances in general to a higher level,” he said.
“More importantly, the key takeaways from this conference will be on how to harness Islamic capital market capability to drive sustainable economic development and growth in ways that are more equitable and inclusive.”
