BRUNEI Fitness Zone slipped to the first loss in the Xiang Dang Nian Asian Veteran Basketball Invitational Championship 2018 as Vois Pontianak beat them 41-26 at the Kota Kinabalu Community Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah last night.
The Brunei-based side have been looking to build on their winning start against Ujana Kingfisher and enhance their hopes of qualifying in Saturday’s 60 years category final.
Brunei Fitness Zone will be looking to bounce back against Foremost Thailand to put them in contention for a final berth.
The other result in the 60 years group saw Malacca Basketball Club claiming a 59-42 win over Kinsar.
Meanwhile, Brunei Linktech are still in search of their first win in the tournament after falling to a 59-27 loss to Manila Alpha 7.
Brunei Veteran United are the other representative from Brunei in the competition.
