THE State Mufti’s Office at the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday launched two new books at the Lobby of DarulIfta building in Jalan Pengiran Babu Raja.

Launching the book was State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.

Acting Director of Administration Haji Saiful Nizam bin Haji Sulaiman explained that Ke Arah Kesempurnaan Sembahyang which consists 365 pages is a series of compilation of Irsyad Hukum from 1996-2016. It is divided into 39 topics based on Nash Al-Quran, Hadith and Qaul of the Ulama Mu’tabar (renown Islamic Scholar).

The book is the 114th publication of the State Mufti’s Office. It is published to meet the demand and needs from various parties in providing guidance and knowledge for the Muslim community at different ages so that they will be able to perform Ibadah perfectly in accordance towards Syariah.

Wirid Al-Lathif, the 115th publication containing 152 pages, is a book arranged by al-Quthub al-Imam Barakah al-Anam Sayyid ‘Abdullah bin ‘Alwi bin Muhammad Ba’alawi al-Haddad al-Husaini al-Hadhrami who passed away in 1132 Hijrah.

The book is a compilation of Zikir and Wirid that has been delivered in a lecture by the former state mufti, the late Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama (Dr) Haji Awang Ismail bin Omar Abdul Aziz who was the president of the Belait Youth Association (PEMBELA) in 1988. The book also serves as a medium of answers on the role of Wirid and Zikir in youth associations during that time.

The former state mufti also elaborated in detail on the Wirid in which every Wirid followed with a Malay translation backed with Hadith related to Zikir. The book also shared the meaning of each of the Wirid along with its benefits and methods on practising the Wirid.

Most Muslim scholars (Ulama) practise Wirid in their daily life as it provides guidance, lights (nur) and encourage Muslims to practise Wirid in their daily life.

At the launching, the State Mufti also presented Waqaf to 12 selected libraries and higher education institutions.

The Waqaf was contributed by officers and staff of the State Mufti’s Office at the Prime Minister’s Office.
