RIWAYAT FC accomplished a new league record for the biggest win in the inaugural Al Idrus Football League Championship after thumping Kasat Mix Veteran FT 25-0 at the Menglait Sports Complex Field yesterday.
Riwayat also stormed to the top of Group ‘A’ with three wins out of three.
Last week, Al Idrus FT had set the record after a 21-0 rout over Pondok 12.
Azamain bin Haji Masri scored the bulk of the goals with eight, though it was not enough to set an individual record for most goals in a single match.
That tag currently belongs to Muhammad Nadzrin bin Abdullah of Al Idrus FT with 11 goals.
Syambra bin Haji Zaini also went on a scoring spree during the rout after scoring four goals.
The trio of Mohd Ali Sabri bin Haji Abang, Haji Rosli bin Haji Moksin and Mohd Iswandi bin Haji Hamdani each scored a brace, while solitary strikes came from Mohd Hasymn bin Haji Mustafa, Haji Md Noor bin Haji Ahmad, Hamdani bin Haji Muhin, Muhammad Zainal bin Mari and goalkeeper Jufri bin Haji Selamat.
Meanwhile, SM FC preserved top spot in Group ‘D’ after holding ITF to a 2-2 draw at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex Field. Md Sapri bin Haji Mohd gave the league leaders the lead in the 17th minute but ITF restored parity through Kula bin Mohammad in the 23rd minute.
ITF took the lead through Radiman Abdul Rahman three minutes later but Md Sapri rescued his team from defeat with his second of the game in the 73rd minute.
