A YOUTH Day Festival was officiated by Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong yesterday.
Seventy-one youth entrepreneurs are participating in the three-day festival to promote their products.
Various activities are also being held at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex as part of the event.
Following the launch, the Minister of Home Affairs toured the exhibition and spoke with some of the young entrepreneurs.
The festival is organised in conjunction with the National Youth Day celebration 2018 and also in line with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s call for the youth to venture into entrepreneurship and become self-reliant. More than 15 activities are being organised including history storytelling competition, Syair Belia competition, 90s Nasyid competition and others.
