WESTLAKE Tyres and Malaysian Citizens Association (PWM) emerged victors at the final of the 3rd Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Badminton Tournament on Monday night at the 7th Floor Multi-Purpose Hall of The Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong.
Westlake Tyres emerged champion of the Kingston Cup after defeating Tanjung BC 2-0 (21-5, 21-7) (21-14, 17-21, 21-16).
Victor finished third place in the Kingston Cup after defeating X98 2-1 (18-21, 18-21) (21-18, 21-13) (21-15, 10-13).
Meanwhile, PWM were named champions of the PTK Cup after they edged Brunei Basketball Association 2-1 (17-21, 11-31) (16-21, 21-18, 21-18) (21-15, 21-14).
In the PTK Cup, PKMS edged CHMS Alumni ‘A’ 2-1 (16-21,13-21) (21-4,21-13) (21-15,18-21,21-14) to win third place.
Chairmen of the CHMS Alumni Association Badminton Tournament committee Chan Choi Beng, Tan Guan Siong and Phang Thian Koh presented the prizes.
Chan Choi Beng also presented certificates of appreciation to the Brunei National Badminton Association (BNBA) Technical Committee and to event sponsors.
