THE family of Muhammad Ariffin bin Muhammad Hanif, including his wife and three children, embraced Islam during a ceremony at his home in Kampong Rambai, Tutong recently.
Tutong District Head of Dakwah Unit Alizan bin Haji Ramlee was the guest of honour.
Also present were Legislative Council member and Village Head of Kampong Limau Manis Yang Berhormat Haji Mohimin bin Haji Johari @ Jahari, senior officers from the Tutong District Dakwah Dissemination Division and guests.
Dr Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, in his capacity as the representative of the host, in his welcoming speech hoped the family’s conversion will bring harmony in their family life, not only in the world but also in the hereafter.
The family, comprising Ariffin bin Nyambong, Sayang binti Melayong, Ariff Daniel bin Ariffin, Laila Maria binti Ariffin and Flora Maria binti Ariffin chose their own Islamic names and started their narrative shortly after the formal declaration of the Syahadah.
