COMMISSIONER of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam received a courtesy call from the Inspector General of the Royal Malaysia Police, Dato Paduka Seri Tan Sri Khalid bin Abu Bakar.
The courtesy call is in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, conferring a state decoration on the Inspector General of the Royal Malaysia Police during an Investiture Ceremony held at the Istana Nurul Iman.
Dato Paduka Seri Tan Sri Khalid was awarded the Most Exalted Order of Paduka Keberanian Laila Terbilang, First Class (DPKT), which carries the title of ‘Dato Paduka Seri’.
Prior to the courtesy call, the RBPF held a guard of honour at the Royal Brunei Police Force Headquarters in Jalan Tungku, Gadong.
During the courtesy call, they discussed the continuous support by both police forces in forging stronger regional cooperation in police work, training, exchange programme, sharing of information and other areas of policing that may enhance each other’s capabilities and also issues of strategic interest regionally and internationally.
