RB VETERAN sealed their passage into the next round of the Al Idrus Football League Championship after they eased to a 6-2 win against PBDB Veteran FT at the Royal Brunei Recreation Club Field recently.
The airline personnel joined seven other teams that earned a berth in the next round including Riwayat, KB Warriors, Cleas V FC, Paguma FT, SM FC, Al Idrus FT and TJ FT.
With both teams preserving an unbeaten record heading into the qualification shootout, RB Veteran found the net first through Pengiran Sallehuddin Pengiran Haji Damit in the ninth minute.
Pengiran Sallehuddin was on target again in the 30th minute and Mohd Zaiddie Abdul Rahman repeated his heroics with a brace of his own.
Haji Asdi Haji Durani made it 5-0 in the 57th minute before Mohd Shah Ibrahim scored two consolation goals in the 61st and 81st minute.
But Haji Yusli Haji Yusof compounded PBDB’s misery with his team’s sixth four minutes from time.
Al Idrus SC and AH United can join the qualified teams if they secure a win against AKSE Bersatu and Stoneville FT, respectively.
