IN CONJUNCTION with the ‘Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen Day 2018’, Radims Fisheries Trading Co together with the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, and local fisheries entrepreneurs are organising a ‘Fish Carnival’ in Muara.

The four-day event, started on Thursday and ends tomorrow has so far been popular among members of the public.

According to Event Manager Radin bin Haji Idris of Radims Fisheries Trading Co the popularity is due to the freshness of the fish and other seafood as well as them being reasonably priced.

The event also offers a live seafood cooking demonstration by professional chefs from the Indonesia Chefs Association Brunei.

Radin said the number of visitors has increased every year due to the premium quality of the seafood sold inexpensively.

The carnival is open today and tomorrow from 8am to 5pm.

The event, which aims to encourage people to eat seafood also features vendors selling dried fish, smoked fish, crackers, chilli pastes and much more.
