THE recent Brunei Womenpreneur Network (BWN) Seminar, held at the V-Plaza Hotel in Kuala Belait, drew aspiring entrepreneurs from across the country for a round of talks and discussions on successful entrepreneurship.

The seminar was led by Co-founder and Managing Director of FLUX OS Sdn Bhd Supna Rania Karwanamurthi, owner of Kunyit 7 Lodge Dayangku Kemariah binti Pengiran Haji Duraman, and founder of the Big BWN Project Noorhafizah binti Haji Rashid.

Among the panel of entrepreneurs who shared their experiences and knowledge during the seminar were owner of Muzzyland & Muzzyland Educare Bahrinawaty Jamal, an artist for Doodles and Colours Nazurah Usop, Co-owner of Ricardo’s Mexican Delivery and Ricardo’s La Galeria Mari Gonzalez, owner of Nem Fitness Hajah Naemah binti Haji Mahran, and owner of Hush Cakes Hajah Hasnah binti HA Hamid.

In her talk, Karwanamurthi reminded the attendees of the 33rd National Day titah delivered by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, which called for everyone to implement Brunei Vision 2035 with full commitment and determination.

“Living in Brunei, we are showered with abundant opportunities such as a great education system that allows us women to have the basic tools available to make progress in our lives; and now the government has set up DARe (Darussalam Enterprise) to support the country’s vision and entrepreneurship eco-system development,” she said.

“In today’s fast-paced world, in order for our businesses to grow and be sustained, we need to always look at how to improve, so that we can be ahead of our competitors, while ensuring that our country’s economy will grow sustainably too.”

Open to the public for free, the BWN Seminar is held on a monthly basis, with the next session to be hosted by Dayangku Kemariah at the Kunyit 7 Lodge, from 2pm to 5pm on November 28, under the theme of ‘The Roles of Women in the Community’.
