French chef shares culinary expertise

A RENOWNED French chef yesterday morning visited Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) to share his culinary expertise during the French Gastronomic Event held at the Sunken Courtyard Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah (PAPRSB) Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), UBD.

Vice-Chancellor of UBD Datin Dr Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz was the guest of honour. Ambassador of the Republic of France to Brunei Darussalam Christian Ramage was present.

Chef Arnaud Tabarec from Five Seas Hotel began his fabulous journey among the famous Michelin-starred restaurants in France and elsewhere.

During the live cooking demonstration, Chef Arnaud Tabarec treated his audience with an inventive, simple, delicious and tasty cuisine – Egg and Mushroom around Brioche – in his grandmother’s style.

Between street food menu and sharing plates, Arnaud Tabarec put his own spin on the kind of cuisines he likes.

The event ended with a food tasting session.
