THE International Women’s Club of Brunei (IWCB) in collaboration with the Big BWN Project organised an International Food Fair at the Royal Brunei Recreation Club yesterday.
The event was officiated by the spouse of the British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Xanthe Lindsay who was the guest of honour.
Also present were Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Senior Trustee Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab, IWCB President Ungku Datin Hajah Fanzah binti Haji Osman and British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Richard Lindsay.
The objectives of the event were to promote the development of charitable and cultural activities and to strengthen ties among the locals and expatriates.
It also provides young local food entrepreneurs to contribute as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) to the community.
A charity car boot sale was held and proceeds from the events will be donated to Pusat Ehsan.
The event was enlivened with the best national dresses competition.
