AS FINAL examinations have ended, 95 Year 4 students of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School went for a visit to the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) National Library in the capital, which also marked the first field trip for their year-end activities.
Accompanied by their eight supervising teachers led by Asmahwati binti Haji Yahya, the students were welcomed by Library Officer Mohammad Hilme bin Mohd Yahya and other library officers, before the students were ushered to the hall for a briefing session and educational activities.
Yesterday’s visit served to instil love of reading among the young students and develop the important habit of reading.
Through the visit, the school hoped the students gain knowledge, learning skills and personal development, to realise their full potential as independent learners, as well as develop a positive attitude to lifelong learning and foster joy of reading with facilities provided by the government.
