THE founders of Yu Lee Food Industries, May Lim and her spouse, left the country yesterday to participate in the Panzhou Trade Fair 2018 at the All-Regions Tourism Distribution Centre in Panzhou City, China.

The trade fair, which opens tomorrow and continues until November 11, features 32 selected exhibitors from 10 ASEAN member countries, including Brunei Darussalam, which is represented by Yu Lee Food Industries.

During the 15th China –ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) held in Nanning last September, the company was awarded with the ‘Best Exhibitor Award’, as an acknowledgment of its contributions towards the event for the past 15 years.

According to May Lim, the company is seeking to push its locally produced ‘Taste of May’ food range into the China market, which includes chicken and beef curry paste, spicy-and-sour paste, Brunei laksa, tom yam paste and Brunei sambal paste.

The Panzhou Trade Fair 2018 is co-hosted by Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce, the Liupanshui Municipal People’s Government, the Guizhou Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, the Guizhou Tourism Development Committee, and the Panzhou Municipal People’s Government. A ‘Forum-Commodity Exhibition 2018’ will also be held simultaneously, to enhance bilateral trade encompassing economic, tourism and cultural cooperation.
