THE Fourth Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Knowledge Convention 2018 (Majlis Ilmu 2018) was held to discuss the latest developments on the preparation and organisation of the event, which included briefings on the status of the preparation of programmes and activities planned by each of the chairperson of the Working Committee yesterday.
This year, the Knowledge Convention 2018 will be held from November 27 – 29 at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas and the theme for the convention is ‘Agricultural Sector: Survivability of the People and Country’.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, as the Co-Chairman chaired the meeting held at West Wing, Level l, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Complex.
The convention will be held in conjunction with the 72nd Birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Co-Chairmen of the Steering Committee of the Knowledge Convention 2018 Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud; and Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd Hussein were also present.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Elinda binti Haji CA Mohammad; Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, and Deputy Minister of Education Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh.
