MoRA fetes personnel for achievements, service

IN CONJUNCTION with National Civil Service Day this year, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) feted its personnel who have been nominated and awarded with excellent civil servant awards recently and also those retiring from service at MoRA’s Complex in Jalan Dewan Majlis, Berakas yesterday.

The guest of honour was Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.

The minister presented certificates of recognition to four recipients of the Excellent Civil Service Employee Award (APCPA) 2018, four nominees of the APCPA 2017 as well as another four nominees of the APCPA 2018.

He also presented recognition certificates to a recipient of the Special Appreciation for Civil Servant Award (PKKPA) 2018 and also a recipient of the Star Recognition in Performance Grading Programme of the Civil Sector (3PSA) by the Management Services Department of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) 2018.

He also presented certificate of recognition to some 79 retirees who concluded their service with the ministry and its department last year.

Acting Director of Administration at the MoRA Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, joint chairperson of the event, in his welcoming remarks said that apart from recognising the retired personnel for their hard work and dedication for many years, the celebration also aimed to boost the motivation of the APCPA and PKKPA recipients so it can be an inspiration for their colleagues to aspire for excellence in their services to the government.

“This event also serves to push other departments and sections in MoRA to continuously strive to ensure that services delivered are according to standards and guidelines set by government agencies, as well as in fostering a culture of innovation,” he added.

Civil Service Day is commemorated every September 29 in the country. MoRA in a press release said that by commemorating the event, it hopes to strengthen the values of quality in civil service, recognising outstanding talents and renewing the commitment of civil servants in the country.

The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar and other senior officials from MoRA were also present.
