NINETY-TWO special needs children of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel yesterday received assistance in the form of cash donation held in conjunction with the 55th RBAF anniversary and Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. The ceremony took place at Officer Mess of Muara Naval Base.
The donation was presented by guest of honour, Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the RBAF, who mingled with special needs children and their families at the event.
The RBAF extended their assistance in the form of cash donation from RBAF Welfare Fund, RBAF 55th anniversary fund, RBAF Cooperative (Kowira) as well as contribution from RBAF Wives Welfare Committee (BAKTI) hope could give encouragement and support in creating a caring society, especially the younger generation to produce perfect human capital.
The community-oriented event, held on a yearly basis in conjunction to the RBAF’s anniversary, is one of the social activities that reflect the interest of RBAF in serving the community.
The RBAF in addition to performing military duties, safeguarding the nation as well as enhancing military capabilities and operations also show care and concern regarding the well-being and welfare of families within the community.
