OVER 300 participants took part in the ‘Run and Cycle’ event organised by the Institution of Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) Brunei with RYS Entertainment Aewon Garment & Embroidery as event partners at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien yesterday.
The event, in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2018, began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Hafiz Ishamuddin followed by a warm-up session.
The event saw a 21km cycling event participated by Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar and Deputy Minister of Development Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin.
It was flagged off by member of the Legislative Council and President of PUJA Yang Berhormat Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman.
The event also saw the flagging off of the running events – 10km, 6km and 3km.
The event aimed at raising awareness regarding the association and its objectives to promote, foster, recognise and advance the science and art of surveyors, engineers and architects’ professions.
