THE Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei received donations during a handover ceremony at SMARTER Brunei in Sungai Hanching, yesterday.
Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Datin Dr Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz and Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman handed over donations of BND4,181 to President of SMARTER Brunei Malai Haji Abdullah bin Malai Haji Othman.
The donation was collected through The Charity Cycling event in conjunction with the 72nd birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The presentation of BND1,606.85 from UTB handed over by Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah to the President of SMARTER Brunei.
The donation was collected through the UTB Run & Cycle: Get Active to Give Programme, a charity run and cycle event in conjunction with the 5th UTB Convocation Festival 2018.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by officers from UBD, UTB, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and SMARTER Brunei.
