FIFTY-TWO residents from Kampong Bukit Sawat and Kampong Merangking of Belait District visited Radio Television Brunei (RTB).
As part of the Informative Community Programme, the visit was organised by the Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) through its Belait District Information branch.
Deputy Chairman of the Village Consultative Council of Kampong Bukit Sawat Haji Junaidi bin Teradi led the visitors.
The visit began with a briefing on the introduction of RTB including its vision and mission, digital TV channels and radio station networks.
The residents also visited radio studios and Rampai Pagi studio to expose them to the functions and importance of RTB in providing information and entertainment.
They also visited Malay Technology Museum, Brunei Darussalam Maritime Museum and Kingston Beverage & Creamery Sdn Bhd.
The visits aimed to generate invaluable knowledge on key places of interest, inform the visitors on the government’s efforts to elevate people’s standards of living, strengthen cooperation and team work and enhancing relationships.
