A WIDE selection of scrumptious delicacies prepared by local food vendors from small to prominent names in the food industry are being offered in the two-week-long Food Fest 2018 that was launched last evening at the Dermaga Diraja in the capital.

The food fest organised as part of the Brunei December Festival 2018’s line-up of events will run until December 30 from 5pm to 10pm daily.

The guest of honour Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) Pengiran Haji Kamalrudzaman bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Ishak officially launched the event with his spouse.

Chairperson of the Food Fest 2018 organising committee Pengiran Norul Isharizza binti Pengiran Hashim hoped that the event strategically held at the bank of the Brunei River with a scenic view of the Kampong Ayer will help spruce up the atmosphere of the Brunei December Festival 2018 and also the Dermaga Diraja.

With the participation of many local vendors who have the skills and capabilities to produce good quality and tasty food products, she said the event offers a platform to encourage them to come forward and promote their businesses not only to earn an income, but also to push for further expansion in the future.

During the launching ceremony, the guest of honour presented certificates of participation to all the vendors and also cut a ribbon to officially mark the launch of the fest.

The Food Fest 2018 is jointly organised by AIZ Event Management and Nur Badiah Event Management.
