PUSAT Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam is marking International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2018 with a two-day event that began last night at the Jerudong Park Colonnade.
Present to officiate the event was Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman in her capacity as the guest of honour.
The two-day celebration includes family-oriented activities including colouring contests, henna and face painting, Bootcamp by Fitness Zone, Mobile Legends Tournament as well as performances from local artistes.
Members of the public can also enjoy a special performance by the Music and Brass Band of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The event aims to raise funds for the centre to finance the services and programmes, including educating, training, assist care and rehabilitation.
Organisers hope the celebrations will instil awareness and involvement of the public in helping people with disabilities.
Admission fee to the Pusat Ehsan International Day of Persons with Disabilities event is BND10 per person (excludes entrance ticket to Jerudong Park Playground). All proceeds will go directly to the centre.
The event is part of the ongoing Brunei December Festival 2018.
