SOME 51 children aged four to 12 participated in the two-day bootcamp organised by Helmi Abdullah Fitness (HAF) as a school holiday activity last weekend at Sweat Box in Tungku Link.
Their aim was to keep the children active and meet new friends.
“Childhood obesity is at its highest rate which can lead to higher risk of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and other health conditions. Gadgets and technology are the major reasons of childhood obesity. There are too much iPad, video games and YouTube time instead of play time. Let’s keep them moving. Let’s revive their play time,” said certified advanced outdoor and bootcamp instructor Helmi bin Abdullah.
