THE Foochow Association held an appreciation dinner for its committee members recently to celebrate the success of the association’s 63rd anniversary dinner held earlier this month.
The appreciation dinner was held at the association’s main building located along the corner of Jalan Bunga Raya and Jalan Bunga Simpur.
The association’s Chairman Tan Tei Tei in his speech at the event expressed his gratitude to and commended the cooperation by the committee members who helped make the anniversary dinner a success.
“This year’s 63rd anniversary dinner was held at the Royal Garden Hall located on the sixth floor of the Garden Sentral Hotel, which provides a unique venue as it is not only comfortable but also accessible for the invited elderly during the dinner,” he said.
He added that the good food and festive atmosphere provided a great time for the over 500 members invited as they celebrated the association’s 63rd anniversary.
“With the success of the anniversary dinner, I would like to take the time to thank all the committee members involved in the dinner, and I hope that all of you will be able to enjoy this appreciation dinner as reward for the success of the anniversary dinner,” he concluded.
In addition to the banquet served during the appreciation dinner, the association’s committee members also took part in activities such as lucky draw and singing, further enlivening the festive atmosphere while also letting them to relax after the busy period organising the anniversary dinner.
