THE Immigration and National Registration Department in Jalan Menteri Besar yesterday held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of a second kiosk for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) Brunei on its premises.
The ribbon-cutting was performed by Managing Director of CBTL Brunei Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Abdul Mun’im bin Pengiran Anak Haji Tahiruddin and Acting Deputy Director of Immigration Pengiran Mohammadin bin Pengiran Haji Aliakbar.
Senior Chief Immigration Officer Erna Sa’adatul Iza, as a representative of the Immigration and National Registration Department said, “The food and beverages provided by CBTL are a value-added service in providing convenience to members of the public with immigration-related business. It marks a service collaboration between a government agency and the private sector.
The CBTL service is also one of the department’s aims to bring new environment to customer services in line with the ushering of the New Year 2019.
CBTL Brunei Operations Manager Sharil Sharudin, meanwhile, noted that the opening of the new outlet would enable them to provide excellent services for the staff members at the department and clients.
CBTL Brunei employs almost 150 employees, of which 70 to 80 per cent are locals, in support of the Brunei government’s vision to create more job opportunities for locals in the food and beverages industry.
CBTL Brunei Senior Marketing Manager Ida Patera announced that customers purchasing any small-sized latte can enjoy a free baked item from a selection of choices, as part of the opening promotion, which is available daily from 11am till end of next month.
Customers can also enjoy four small-sized White Chocolate Strawberry Ice Blended drinks, an all-time Bruneian favourite, at an attractive price.
The kiosk operates from Monday to Saturday from 6am to 5pm. It will be closed during the Friday prayers, and on the third and fourth Friday of every month.
