FIFTEEN underprivileged families from Kampong Kuala Ungar and Kampong Merimbun in Ulu Tutong received donations as part of the Titian Amal (charity contribution) project last Sunday.
The project comes under the Persatuan Kereta Tahan Lasak Brunei (PKTLB), with contributions chipped in by NRS Enterprise and other companies, members of the public as well as parents, teachers and students of Stella’s School.
The distribution was the third of its kind under the Titian Amal project by PKTLB, led by its Welfare Chairman Abidin bin Haji Musa.
The project focusses on providing daily necessities for underprivileged families, and exposes the younger generation to humanitarian causes – regardless of religion and race.
Over 50 volunteers were involved in the event, while the donation recipients were selected by Kampong Merimbun Acting Village Head Sani bin Nangkat.
NRS Enterprise was led by Executive Zainuddin bin Haji Md Yussof, while Stella’s School was represented by Principal Lise Lee.
