THE Ministry of Religious Affairs hosted an appreciation dinner for outstanding graduates under the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam scholarship programme at Horizons Seafood Restaurant in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman was the guest of honour.
The graduates were from Arabic schools and Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
The event aims to honour students who have achieved excellent results in their examinations as well as pay tribute to the parents and guardians for their support and encouragement in ensuring the success of their children.
It is also to motivate students to be more proactive in their respective fields and to inspire the public.
