THE Post-Graduate Civic Village Programme conducted by the Information Department through its Nationhood Unit, Nationhood and Community Division entered its fourth day with a visit to the Department of Adat Istiadat Negara in the capital yesterday.
Participants comprising 14 male and 21 female graduates of local and foreign higher learning institutions were briefed on the Lapau building background by Research Officer at the Department Adat Istiadat Negara Muhammad Zaim bin Mahmud.
He also highlighted several important events carried out at the building such as the Istiadat Membuka Gendang Jaga-Jaga for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.
Participants were then briefed on the Terasul, Bahasa Pengganti Diri dan Bahasa Dalam by Adat Istiadat Negara officer Md Zaizul who shared on the appropriate time to use the Terasul in official and formality in correspondences and celebration ceremonies.
The programme is part of the Information Department’s Komunikasi Bersemuka initiative in line with the department’s vision as the government’s spearheading agency in disseminating official government information.
It also serves as one of the platforms towards equipping the participants to be competitive, able to face challenges and grab job opportunities.
