Firefighting lessons for temple members

THE Fire and Rescue Department in cooperation with the Executive Committee members of Teng Yun Chinese Temple in the capital, held a fire safety briefing yesterday morning in the run up to Chinese New Year.

The briefing aimed to ensure the premises is safe and provide knowledge on how to properly operate a fire extinguisher.

Deputy Chairman of Teng Yun Chinese Temple Tiah Eng Beng thanked the Fire and Rescue Department for teaching its members the proper techniques in operating a fire extinguisher. Acting Superintendent of Fire and Rescue Noorzali bin Apong delivered the briefing.

Teng Yun Chinese Temple members later tried their hand at dousing a fire, with the help of Station Officer Pengiran Mohd Ali Rahman bin Pengiran Haji Salleh and Firefighter 959 Pengiran Izzul Hakim bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim.
