Closing ceremonies for Basic Guidance Scheme

A CLOSING ceremony was held simultaneously in the four districts yesterday to mark the completion of the Basic Guidance Scheme for new Muslim converts held from January 16 to 31.

The closing ceremony held in the Brunei-Muara District was attended by the guest of honour Acting Head of Dakwah Propagation Section of the Islamic Da’wah Centre Ali Hassan bin Haji Mohd Said.

The guest of honour advised the new Muslim converts to appreciate and practise what they have learnt while at the same time to continue to learn more about the Islamic teachings.

In the Brunei-Muara District, 11 participated in the scheme while in the Belait District 16 participated.

A total of 16 participants joined the scheme in the Tutong District while in the Temburong District the scheme was attended by nine.

All were male participants.

The Basic Guidance Scheme was organised by the Islamic Da’wah Centre through the Tarbiyah Mu’allaf Unit in collaboration with the Dakwah Unit in all four districts.

Among the objective of the two-week guidance scheme was to provide guidance for the new Muslim converts on theoretical and practical of Islamic teachings.
