IN THE efforts to enliven the Youth Centre, especially during the weekend, by maximising the usage of the facilities, youth volunteers and local enterprises jointly organised the second edition of Malam Minggu Pusat Belia (MMPB) on Saturday night.
The crowd came in groups in support of the local acts as well as to participate in the activities lined up including the Mono Jazz Night, Jiwaku Seni, Trampoline Fitness, Juicing Party, Make-Up Tutorial and over 30 youth vendors selling various products.
The recreational hall in the Youth Centre was used to host the Mono Jazz Night which is a monologue jazz performance from local youth organised by Amux Motion and Sutera Memento.
A cultural performance was held at the Silaturrahim Hall by talented youths from the Youth Community Transformation Club (KKBT) led by Kris Karmila accompanied by a silat demonstration and appearance from the local Cosplay community.
Meanwhile, the Trampoline Fitness conducted by GMSS and Fitness Lab BN took over the Dance Studio while the Make-Up Tutorial and Beauty Treatment conducted by Fitness Lab BN and Mami Dina the Make-Up Salon area.
The car park was also utilised with a classic car exhibition by the Club Benzer featuring over a dozen classic cars from the 80s.
MMPB will be held every month. The activities include entrepreneurship, arts and cultural activities, entertainment as well as performances by local talents from the creative industry. All the activities take place at facilities provided by the Youth Centre. Members of the public are urged to come and show their support to the youths.
Present to show support was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil.
