STARBUCKS Brunei hosted a media appreciation event in conjunction with its fifth anniversary at its Tanjung Bunut outlet recently.
Head of Operations Starbucks Brunei Steven Anthony Soosay and Senior Category Manager Starbucks Brunei Zakiah Hanim binti Md Zaki along with marketing team members welcomed members of the media.
The event began with welcoming remarks followed by a Coffee Tasting session showcasing the expertise of Farisha Nabiha binti Mohamed Farid, winner of Brunei Barista Championship 2017.
Steven Anthony Soosay expressed gratitude for the cooperation that extended to Starbucks over the years.
Zakiah Hanim also launched the new beverage and food items at the event. Customers can enjoy the Sparkling Cocoa Mango Cold Foam and the Sparkling Cocoa Berry Currants Cold Foam available at all its stores across Brunei.
“Since opening our first store in Brunei five years ago we have seen how customers made us a part of their lives and embraced the bold new ways we reinvent our beverages each year,” said Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Food (International) Berhad and Managing Director of Starbucks Brunei Sydney Quays.

Customers can also pair the new beverages with the new Ondeh-Ondeh Muffin inspired by the traditional local ‘kuih’. The muffin is a combination of Pandan and coconut flavours complemented with a rich Gula Melaka or palm sugar sauce and a hint of coconut bites.
Starbucks Brunei also introduced its 5th anniversary merchandise collection inspired by the lakes and ocean that surround the Sultanate which include Double Walled Glass to help retain the temperature of beverages as well as a Venti (2002) Thermos tumbler with a shimmer finish.
