WITH the presentation of house keys for the National Housing Scheme (RPN) and Landless Indigenous Citizens Housing Scheme (STKRJ) yesterday, 545 recipients and their families will now be able to live comfortably in their new homes.
One of the recipients, Jorani binti Haji Zainal, who accepted the house key plaque on behalf of her sister, told the Bulletin that their application was made back in 2005.
“Alhamdulillah, in 2017, our prayers were answered when we received a cluster unit in RPN Kampong Lugu,” she said. “We are so happy at being able to live independently in our own house.”
Nur Amalina Jennifer binti Abdullah Mok also expressed her joy at being the proud owner of a cluster unit in RPN Kampong Lugu, after waiting nearly 10 years.
She thanked His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for enhancing his subjects’ quality of life and improving their living standards.
“We are enjoying the cleanliness of our new housing area and the friendliness of our neighbours,” she said.
And for Mohammad Husaif bin Haji Abdullah, the 12 years of waiting finally came to an end yesterday, when he received the house key plaque from His Majesty.
“Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah the Almighty and the generous leadership of His Majesty, my family can now live more securely,” he said. “There are no words to describe how thankful we are for such blessings.”
