HIS Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Committee of Governors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB), attended a Doa Keyukuran ceremony at the YSHHB multipurpose hall in the capital yesterday.
The ceremony, organised by YSHHB, was held to commmemorate the 45th birth anniversary of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, in his capacity as Chairman of the YSHHB Board of Directors and Chairman of the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA) Board of Trustees and Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of the DANA Board of Trustees were present.
Also attending the event were members of the YSHHB Committee of Governors, Board of Directors, DANA Board of Trustees and permanent contributors of DANA, officers and staff of YSHHB as well as teachers of YSHHB school.
The event began with the mass Maghrib prayer led by Syariah Court of Appeal Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin.
It was followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil as well as Doa Kesyukuran, and concluded with mass Isyak prayer. The DANA is a permanent pesambah in the form of charity foundation presented by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah to mark the proclamation of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah as the Crown Prince on August 10, 1998.
DANA was established on August 25, 1998. YSHHB is the Secretariat of the DANA.
