BRUNEI Darussalam’s 35th National Day celebration will begin with mass Maghrib and Isyak prayers, the reading of Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran with special focus at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan tomorrow.
To ensure that the event runs smoothly, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin took a look at the preparations yesterday.
Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Syariah Court of Appeal Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin and other committee members were also present.
The religious activity will also be held at several mosques nationwide.
In the Brunei-Muara District, the event will be held at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong, Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Mentiri, Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong, Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Serusop, Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Mukim Sengkurong, Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque in Kampong Sungai Kebun, Setia Ali Mosque in Pekan Muara and Perpindahan Lambak Kanan Mosque.
In the Belait District, it will be held at Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque and Pekan Seria Mosque whereas in the Tutong District, it will be held at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, Pekan Tutong.
Meanwhile, in the Temburong District, the event will be held at Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Pekan Bangar.
