WELL-KNOWN professional photographer in Brunei Darussalam Jeffrey Wong presented a special personal pesambah to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam during the Chinese New Year get-together ceremony with the local Chinese community at the International Convention Centre (ICC) yesterday morning.
Wong, who is the owner of Fotomas Studio & Lab in Gadong, presents a pesambah to His Majesty during the Lunar New Year get-together every year without fail, and this year was no exception.
He chose a portrait of His Majesty during last year’s National Day celebration as his gift to the monarch this year.
Explaining the reason on why he opted for the portrait, he said, “I really like this picture. It is a very natural and beautiful picture of His Majesty. I took it during last year’s National Day celebration at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.”
